Normally it should defo be able to cope with 200-250 HP imo, see that enough around me, only under track conditions you may run into issues (and then I don't mean to occasional trackday on road tires).

But a fresh rebuild by someone who knows what's he's doing may be advisable (any mechanic will say he can overhaul a diff but I would only hand my diff to a real specialist, and these are pretty rare).

Sticky tyres defo don't help. The e12 and 21 LSD s are just too old now if I had my time again I would use a med case e30 diff and modified shafts. The e12 conversion was developed when no better alternative was available. It's also a cheaper option in reality than the e12 conversion.

Hi All, I thought I'd revive this thread as I've just bought this car! :-)

its been with the same owner for nearly 9 years (hi Doug if you're reading this!) who bought it from Problemchild, so its on 4 prev owners not and just over 50,000 miles. Its basically the same as it was when this build thread came to an end, same set up/wheels/interior etc, which is both a good and bad thing, its certainly in need of some maintenance. It had just come back from MOT and i understood a freshen up Munich Legends when i collected it, I'm not sure on what exactly they'd been asked to do however as these are the issues to sort so far;

Pass side front indicator not working
Horn not working
Brake lights not working (luckily realised this not too far into the trip back so had the wife stay behind me from that point to avoid being crashed into!)
Rev counter not working
Stereo not working
Brakes binding (need to get your foot behind the pedal and lift up a touch to release)
radiator fan issue
Steering wheel majorly off centre
Glovebox broken
Exhaust pipe sitting firmly against rear valance
Misfire/hesitation in the mid range and revs sometimes hanging, I suspect there is an air leak somewhere

So i have some jobs to do! Otherwise she still looks fresh externally, and still a lovely shell, engine bay very dirty but I'm already addressing that.

All the audio gear apart from the subs is still there, amps under seats etc, I'm finding off cuts of wire, electrical connectors and electrical tape everywhere! This will all come out though, not my thing and would prefer the stereo to be more or less standard. Fingers crossed i can find some replacement door cards in the right colour.

Otherwise the car will be left as it is I'll just go through it changing any serviceable items/fluids and carrying on tidying it, things like the e12 diff mount remains unpainted like in the pictures on here so I will get that painted and other jobs like that seen to.

If anyone is still interested then I'll try to get some pics up of the car as i go along

Yup, congrats and welcome here! So nice of you to revive this thread and we're looking forward to your updates. Majority of the issues is work, but probably no rocket science so with a bit of luck you'll be able to make quite a few steps forward in the near future. If any questions arive, don't hesitate to ask here on the forum!
