Shiny stuff! Not spraying the rest of the parts in the same go? Like hood, bonnet, doors?

Yes they are all being done too, the bonnet has brought an issue though as it needs some small weld/fab repair on it on the underside i think.

So its gonna be blasted to check how bad, then if ok to repair it will be and then prepped and painted.

Happy new year to you all guys.

Would power steering be a good thing to have on the car?......and also air conditioning?.....i mean it will all come at a cost but any advice would be welcome.

All personal opinion I guess. I love my power steering and if you can't find a decent set (calculate that most sets will require on overhaul with freash seals and all) there are a few here that converted to electrical power steering, for example through www.ezpowersteering.com they have a custom kit for the E21.

AC on these cars, I wouldn't expect too much. These sets will also require a full rebuild and conversion to more modern gases, but what you'll end up with is a kit that only blows cold air from the center vents. Easy for me to say as I drive a Baur, but I wouldn't bother.

:thnx for the info Jeroen, it would be an electric one like you have described, the air con would be a bespoke system with modern gas, i think there will be another e21 having this done before mine so just thinking of my options.
