Drainage holes

Post by Lavazza21 »

Hello friends!

Does anyone have any info on the drainage holes in the rocker panels? I recently rewelded them and am trying to understand whether openings are needed for water to escape from the thresholds, if any appear there.

Maybe someone has more info, thanks!

Not sure what your question is? Yes there are drain holes. Yes they are needed. When the car has an original sunroof, even more so, de drain hoses from the roof eun into the sills.

The drain holes are the stanced out sort of half moon openings at the underside of the sills.

Thank you and sorry for the unclear wording. :thumbsup
Maybe you have some pictures with half moon openings? I am looking for what they look like and where exactly they are located, because I will have to make them myself.

I had a pretty good shell acid dipped and you can see the half moon drainage holes in the pic below.
Looks like there should be 6 (rear ones are missing from the rust) spread along the length of the sill.

Thanks, I took a lot of pictures of the shell for these type of questions. Have pictures of all the factory brazing points as well. At least RHD and a 1983 shell. Not sure if anyone else can access my photobucket album, but it is all in there.

Regards
