New rad

New brackets for mouting the gearbox oilpan

Old brackets, clear to see th will collapse when tightened to much. That causes the leaks.

And the ajusted frame in front of the radiator. The netting I placed with rivets. This radiator will survive.

After that I started on doing up my center capas from the 16”Alpina’s.

These Alpina alloys came with the car from the dealer at first delivery. Wheels sat on the shelf for two years…

Placed the logo’s correctly.

They look great, but have lots of metallic flakes. The rims do not, they are powdercoated.

After the wheels got new paint on the centercaps, all I did was some driving. But in July 2013 I soved some small discontent.

1: I changed the release fort he roofcover. Mine was broken. In fact, it’s just a doorhandle upside down. Easy to change. Much better!

2: replaced several light in the dash. Heater panel had some broken lights, same with the ashtray and the lightswitch.

3: repaired one of the window switches. It didn’t work propperly. It was all black and coaled on the inside. Cleaned and sanded i tand it works like it should be!

4: the little panel around the light switch was damaged. I replaced that as well.

"new" panel from 1983 mounted. Much better!:

I drove this beauty into Germany. Eifel and Teutoburgerwald. Had a great trip with the misses. The car drives great, but not to tight. The running gear is done, shocks, rubbers and all. 27 years old and all. Also I feel that 2 of 3 of the rims are not round. Every now and then I have a shivver in the wheel and with changing lanes it handles like a Mercedes Benz.
But for now, this will have to do, because my money goes into the e21 323i. the e30 is drivable and will have to wait.
