After 4 weeks and 6 days, the shell has returned, with fresh Topazbraun Metallic paint
The sun is out today, and it really shows off the warmth and depth of the finish.
I'm over the moon, tbh!
Can't really tell in a photo, but the flake pop is awesome! It almost looks like it has glitter all over it.
Smoothed front end.
The doors, wings, sunroof and bootlid will return next week

good to see it back on the drive looking good, where's the gazebo?

No chance am I risking the gazebo.
The wind could bring it down, doing more damage than a car cover ever could.
Not a perfect situation, but it's the best I can do

Cheers for the kind words guys
Fortunately I'm quite handy with a DA/rotary, so any blemishes from the cover or etching from the bird droppings should be removable without too much stress.
It's all very exciting times, first time I've ever done anything like this!

That's a beautiful color and a thorough restoration! Good luck on that and enjoy the rebuild. Standing in the sun the color looks a bit like my Kastanien Rot, I like it!

At the moment, I'll be rebuilding it as a standard car.
Come winter time, it'll probably get an M52.
