The work on the engine progresses.
The engine is disassembled and general looks good. The cam is worn, but other than that it looks good.
Piston rings, all bearings and short shift gear arrived from Schmiedmann today.

Starting to look like an engine again
Only one small problem - It can not turn because the valves is hitting the pistons!!!!! Piece of freakin' crap!!!!
It have to be taken apart again - We have not quite figuered out what the problem is - There is put in a 272 degree Shrick, but this should by itself not cause this. And it doesn´t seem that anything have been milled of the cylinder head... hmmm...

The engine is complete, and were running super sweet the first day
But over the weekend I have had som problems with it - It dies out together with the RPM meter ½ a second frequently.
It can be seen from 27 seconds in, a couple of times.
It got way worse today, and on my way home from work today, it resulted in complete crap. Only running on 3 cylinders, if running at all. So I needed a ride.
Back in the work shop this afternoon, after checking spark plugs, egnition, gas injection, and changing power distributor with no effect, we found a very loose connection in the cable tree. Under the induction manifold (is that the name?) there usually is a multi connection plug, but this was removed last year due to bad conneciton. All the cables were welded together, and now apparently it is crap again.
So once again all the cables need to be either put together again, or all cables changed. hnmmm...

bed the rings in for 500 miles before you drive at that kind of speeds, keep under 4000 rpms when driving or you will have to strip your engine with new rings... which oil are you using?
Yay, Today I went on my first real trip (300km) after the winter - Over the winter driving my 325e I have forgotten how fast this car actually is, HAHA. It is awesome to sit behind the wheel again
The reason for my trip today? Well, for one just to drive and second to pick up a nice little part for my new exhaust system
