I think I might have swine flu - honestly  Just had to collect a script for Tamiflu tablets and been really unwell today.

It must be bad or else I would have got some tyres and bolted these little beauties on. 8)

I was gonna go for a set of painted MIMs but by the time I factored in the cost of refurb', polishing and paint these were a little cheaper. Am fitting 195/45's so that I don't get a repeat of the arch rubbing I had when I tried the MSW's. These should look wicked against the orange of my car. 8)

I was able to take a look around while they got some measurments from my car.

They love their Jap motors.

Finally got the call to take my car down to Janspeed tomorrow to have my new exhaust done. I'll post some more details and pictures once I get back.

Would anyone else be interested in a new exhaust system if they were able to supply one at a good price?

Hiya Retro,

Definitely. Only problem is that I'm in the North. But if you've got a good price/any details then please let me know.
Cheers

180 mile round trip for bugger all. I left at 6 am and sat outside waiting for Janspeed to open only for the engineer who's supposed to do my car not to show up! So, I am now waiting for a call to go back down and I'm promised a hefty price reduction as an apology.

We shall see....

I'm hoping that's what happens Jimmy. I said I'd pay for materials but their labour charge is compensation for wasted time and fuel.

What sort of system are they doing you ? Is it a downpipe back system or does it include the down pipes ?

As of now I'm still negotiating. The guy who is actually doing the work reckons he would be prepared to alter an e30 6 branch, or at least use one as a starting point, and fit it along with a complete system.
I am doing some stuff for them in return to make the deal mutually beneficial. I shall keep you all updated if and when I know more. I get the feeling this might take a while though to be honest.

Meanwhile, according to the online tracking, my lovely parcels are due to arrive today.

Are you sure these guys are serious about doing this for you. I have a friend who owns 2 E30 M3’s. He went to them and said he would give them a huge mention in various car reviews and initially they were very interested. At the end, they said to him, they were not prepared to give him that much discount as the exposure they are getting is very limited. They guy went as far as saying to him that the discount they would be giving to him equates to a full page advert in Total BMW. Just thought I would let you know that they do tend to mess people about. If you are not desperate, hang in there. If you want it done asap, pay the hard cash and get it done. (lol). I have to blow my own trumpet here and say mine is just great. Sounds f-ing awesome….just how I wanted it. I paid £600 for mine which included the down pipes. In fact, I think both of my Stainless systems sound awesome. My Alpina rep does not have a Fritz manifold on it and my Techno Violet one does…..and honestly speaking, I don’t notice ANY difference.
