Moved hazard switch back to it's proper location and just did a general check over in anticipation of my MOT. Dropped it off at the garage this morning - dreading the phone call now! Pretty sure it's going to fail on a blowing exhaust (caught the middle silencer on a speed bump the other day and ripped the weld!).

Passed! Advisory for blowing exhaust but that will be fixed soon. Oh, and a CV boot was split but that was an easy repair.

300+ km trip yesterday
Will post some pics in my thread in owners' gallery.
Some consumption figures :
1st part (rough calcs as I had not turned the clock to zero) :
About 11-12 lt/100 km (23~25.5 mpg) with more than 80% spirited driving on 65% country roads, 35% motorway
2nd part (economy driving-because of return traffic on motorway) :
8.5 lt/100 km (33.7 mpg) and this is quite exact.
I guess this is due to the weber, so, Mark thanks to you once again

And I would like to retest with 14" wheels and 185/60 (instead of 195/55) tyres, I believe the result will be quite surprising

Reason enough

and if there's no snow, nothing wrong with a trackday!
If I can help you out with finalizing plans for a little trip around mainland Europe let me know!

Just dropped off a sump, oil pump and genuine BMW head gasket (thanks mr edd!) for my M10 rebuild. Almost done now - looks great! Can't wait to stop worrying about overheating issues once and for all.

Replaced all the solid mounts for the gearbox and engine with some uprated rubber mounts.
Required fabricating a new engine mount and re-jigging the gearbox mount.
Hopefully will quieten the drive down a bit.
Chased lots of dodgy earths, to fix all the lights and dash bulbs, got the horn working again.
Cars all ready for its MOT tomorrow
First steps towards 2014 Sharknose and a 2000 mile plus European road trip.

Just a small update from my side. The E21 hasn't seen much work lately, doesn't need that much either imo. The aux air valve (I have the electrical slider on my Baur) doesn't always work so I'm thinking about removing it for inspection, testing and cleaning. But the dam thing is so hard to reach that I'm not in a rush to get that done. Thinking about new bushes for the rear subframe to stiffen things up a bit more but also not urgent. Last activity was the trip with the Dutch 02 community and the visit to The Autosport Company. See a brief report
here.
November and the first half of December are filled with S14 work, several third party 320iS's and M3's requiring attention. Some common gremlins, intakes to be freshened up and nitpicking on settings to be done.
Events, nothing in the near future actually. Looking back on a great year though (click for
2013 event reports overview) and the
2014 events calendar is already filling up nicely, just like our Facebook pages by the way.

Stripped kidney grill and sent off to be black chromed.
Doesn't look like MIB will be back before Spring next year though.
