Throttle cable broken Saturday night...
Should have some wire and pliers in the boot

car was towed up to somewhere near my house.
Today already to the mechanic, soon with a new cable!

In July I reactivated my '82 323i which I have garaged for 12+ years now and had been driven only every 2-3 years for a couple of Kms.
Front has been repainted by previous owner due to a small accident, once I rebuild the car completely it will be repainted anyway.
After fixing some minor problems it still runs great.
Going to drive it at least 2x per year for about 50km now.

whats the point of only driving it for 50kms? you would do more harm then good leaving it stood.

not sure, but having it sitting for 2-3 years I always had issues with brakes (stuck pistons) and problems with the k-Jet fuel distributor.
My experience is a better one when moving it from time to time rather than no movement at all.

Agree with Horst, especially in the fuel system things can get stuck. Not sure why you would not use it more but a couple of trips of at least 20-25 kms to warm up the oil and free the exhaust from condensation is the minimum.

We did a bit more, over 1.000 kms in German hills last weekend. Eifel, Moselle, Rheinland Palatinate. Want to go back, now!

Here's the background: the car is not registered, so I always have to try to borrow license plates for test driving from a garage to move it legally on roads.
On the other hand my 327i and my M3 are my official toys and are driven around 1500km / year. My daily drivers are a 530d and a X1.

In your search, please make sure to get the right version for the right year, and avoid cheap chinese rubbish, and that includes Meyle :hammer

Tried all in our parts directory as well?

If the balljoints are still ok that may be the best and cheapest way to go!

Defo stiffer much better still more bushes to go,my dad took it for a drive and said its barely drivable lol cause it has a really bad delay between accelorator going down and car revving, sometimes if I've sat at lights long enough,I put my foot on the accelorator and it stalls!! :-( was funny how angry he was at me like it was my fault haha Im working on it dad :-/
