The door handles.........................that's why the E21 is my preferred car to use when I am on a date!!!!!!! Ha ha.....

...your bonnet pops up unexpectedly on the motorway!
...you have to switch the heater on to calm the engine temperature in stationary traffic!
...you have to remind your girlfriend that there is no central locking!
...you have a hole in your floor pans!
...you have to jack the car up from the chasis rails!
...you get the thumbs up from other road users!
I will think of some more in the meantime

when the machenic at the BMW dealer says that he has never seen this model before ..........
the machenic at the dealer asks "yours is a F...?????" (no naughty remarks guys)
When your classmate (this actually happened to me last Fri night) at the 33 year reunion ask if your car is 30 months old .....no no...30 years!!!!

I had a 2002ti. Nice car, but very weak body and not as confortable as an E21

I know what you mean, but my couple of experiences with 02's were not the best. I really had a hard time comparing the 02 with the MK 2 Escort Ghia. The E21 has a better body, interior, driving position (for me that is) and the 02 lacks 2 pistons.....

I must admit i do like the 6 and the bonnet of the E21 but nothing can touch the round rear lights and the feeling of space in such a small car and the bonnet edges and rear wheel stance and and

Hmmmm ............ i don't have a rusty hole on my car......so i reckon it ain't an E21 ......then........

The nices 02's were the fist ones with the round tail lamps, the later 70's models with the square lamps looks a bit off, but they were nicer cars to drive. The E21 from the rear is very nice, well rounded and the lamps are like cheekie eyes looking at you saying "i am still in front of you............"
