Just come back from doing exactly that. Just got time to give the carpet a thorough beating in readiness for the black dye. It's being lent to a dealership for their showroom next Sunday so I need to crack on.

Mark the uprated oil pump must be an e34 m5 item as the rest are the same, and I take you got the front crank damper of the e24 for the motronic conversion

I'm looking at getting a chrome finish but I doubt many companies will be up for doing a single badge. I'll keep searching though.

you can buy chrome paint from halfords fairly cheap............. but thats what it is........ cheap.
or even cooler you could buy a kit for applying silver leaf to stuff, you could have a genuine silver badge.
if you wanna be really cool, make an impression in some fimo or sumin for me and give it me and i will make you a carbon fibre badge

The idea of chrome in a can is a comical one at best. I might look into the silver leaf but really I want an OE finish although I think it'll be hard to achieve. Thanks for the offer but carbon fibre is a few years too advanced imo.
Thanks to Jason and his Action Man styled 'eagle eyes' I just bought an e34 M5 clutch and flywheel which is considerably lighter than the OE item. Should make things much more responsive.
The engine and gearbox are coming out this week and the shell is actually going on a spit. The main reason being the need to treat & underseal the floorpan and seals. We are also going to run new brake and fuel lines while we are at it. As well as practical stuff like that, it gives me a chance to give things a thorough clean like that lovely diff cover.
