E30 alpina wheel. Not to sure if it suits the car totally, but certainly looks better than the stock effort, feels nicer to hold as it has a nice amount of girth!

Went to Goodwood breakfast club and enjoyed a quick blast around the B roads. Some lovely cars on the roads around there this morning. Most unusual car I spotted was a race prepped Marina Coupe. Not sure what was powering it but it was pretty quick!

Nas the wheel looks good, it originally came with my e24 and the boss was wrong, so could have been e30, e28 or anything.
What did I do today? I removed the remaining interior parts from the Baur, have decided to clean/dye the carpet. Then I stuck it on the 2 poster ready to try and get the manual rack, exhaust, gearshift, fuel filter and propshaft on tomorrow. Once those bits are done and I can theoretically try starting it I'll get the paint done - maybe this week. I am having a burst of motivation thanks to the sun coming out!

Motivation took me back to the workshop. Removed PAS rack/pump, fitted manual rack except one bolt I can't get through the subframe. Will try again in the morning.

I stuck a drill through the subframe to resolve my steering rack alignment issues, fitted the gearshift after much fiddling to find the right size circlip. Then I bolted the propshaft on. Also sprayed stonechip and random paint over bits of the underside that needed covering - hopefully get the dinitrol squirted on top sometime this week.
Wifes Birthday tomorrow then a couple of days locum at work, so the week off to sort the car isn't quite panning out!

Mark I am really jealous, I 'd keep my E21 in the same condition as yours (I 'd try, at least...) if I could find the time...
Yesterday, I found some time to remove the cover panel under the steering column, (GUYS I NEED URGENTLY A NEW ONE!!!CAN ANYONE SELL ME ONE IN PERFECT CONDITION? MINE IS IN VERY BAD COND.!!!!!)
and removed the anti mist lines switch, lubed it and cleaned it but didn't make it work properly.
However, I had SOME progress with other little issues in my car: I lubed the clutch pedal (where the spring that holds it is) and managed to stop that spring noise that was produced every time I pressed the clutch (for the last 6-7 years!!)...
I also cleaned and lubed some other things that produced noises (ashtray, rear windows latches and some other) so my BMW became...Mercedes!!! (let's hope it 'll last for some weeks!)
However, I found that except for the antimist switch, the lighter is also not working properly...(it works sometimes, but most of the time it does not...Any ideas???)
