Spoke to the owner of a genuine County Championship race car this evening and plan to take a drive up and see it in the metal. He also told me of another of the original cars that still existed in good condition a few years ago. In fact, from what was said, it sounded like there's a very good chance that it's still out there in someones garage. There was a 3rd car but it was back in road trim. In fact, most of them seem to have returned to the road and the owners would never have known their cars racing pedigree. This chap also has a couple of hundred photos that I am looking forward to seeing, along with the mountings for the twin front ARB's. Anyway, I'll be sure to post more details and pictures as and when I get them.

Re-fitted MIB's ECU today after it was mapped to take advantage of the mods the engine has had. The difference is pretty remarkable tbh. Not only can I now rev through to just over 7000rpm but it is also much more responsive. I imagine this has a fair bit to do with the fact that the original map was for an auto? It pulls like a train now and absolutely wails over 5.5k! I plan to get the inlet swap done next week before sticking it on a dyno for a power run. I'm guessing it'll be 220 - 230 brake. Anyway, thanks to Nas & Jacko for there help with getting the remap done. I won't mention the 24hr turnaround though chaps.

Nice one. Once that inlet is on. Its going to be immensely more nicer to drive at high revs.
Lol. Royal fail on the logistics mate but you just as bad with the old "need it yesterday! " haha.
Meh realllly want to get time to do mine now!

I'm going to upgrade the front ARB's on my track car and MIB and managed to get some photos taken from a genuine TWR County Race Championship car.

Went for a bit of a drive now that the ECU has been mapped. I'm not sure just how accurate GPS data loggers are but, on the quickest run, I hit 60 in 5.7 secs.
Much better but still more to come.

A frend of mine is using two ARB on his racing 320. Simply and effective solution.

A couple of people wanted to hear the exhaust from behind. 2 mins 56 secs is where it gets a bit louder.

I've started looking for tunnels on every journey I make now. There were a few good underpasses in Leeds. The motorway Police seemed to take a bit of an interest too.
