The m20 doglegs are notoriously weak, you want e28/m3 265 behind the m52

Ran into some problems fitting the new decambered rear and e12 diff as the exhaust is getting in the way due to its size. It's nothing that can't be solved but it's just taking a bit longer / more work.
I'm also having a bit of a rethink on the interior. What I would like is an e21 version of this.
I figure that I can lose the back seat and have the rear trimmed in black carpet or even alcantara so long as it's not horrendously expensive. I have a rear cage coming that I plan to paint orange and that just leaves the seats. I've actually found the perfect Recaros so, if I win them, I will sell my current interior. If anyone's interested let me know.

I love the missing rear seats and carpeted look. Those seats look like they'll suit the car well.

Funny co-incidence but they came from the daughter of Jeff Allam, the one time touring car racer, who used to drive in the BMW County Championship and race for TWR. I'm hoping I might get to ask him about it, and what he remembers, quite soon.

M50 inlet conversion is finished. Goes like something to do with shining shovels and wails like a banshee! Surprised just what a difference it makes. The diff has helped and certainly doesn't seem to have blunted performance / acceleration. If anything it feels quicker because I'm not looking to grab second gear as quickly as before.

Now that I have the e12 diff and driveshafts I've decided to fit Nitrous.
Just fitting Corbeau's and got some new harnesses to go with them. Going to see about having the interior re-trimmed in black carpet with a black alcantara headlining.

At the moment the ratio is still 3.07 although I have a 3.44 CWP should I need it. The kit I've gone for is the 150 brake set-up so hopefully I'll get 370 - 380 in total. I don't intend running gas on the street though but should be fun at Santa Pod next year.

A e12 3.45 LSD unsold on ebay about an hour ago cheaper than a CWP swap

Quoted £220 for swap and increase to 70%.

£220
That's a price to good to be true, extra friction plates, ramp angle maching and bearings/seals would cost that much before labour.

I've mailed him again to check.
My bums got somewhere nice to sit now.
Harnesses, rear cage & extinguisher to go.
Been getting used to longer legs today and overall it's much nicer to drive. The added grunt is obvious from the word go and second & third gears are now notably quicker than before. MIB feels properly quick now.

Jesus you don't hang about Mark! Nice work i need to think of a good rear diff solution myself when the time comes. What you have to chop out your spare wheel? What are you doing with your old interior btw, if you're selling how much for?
