Get in! :D

Nice one guys - its all coming together nicely. Jims got a welder so we're all cool on that front...not sure what else we need apart from beats, beer and bbq...although Sunday looks like rain but Monday looks good.

Anyone up for fitting a 2.7 to mine while we're at it ;) haha

Just checked on the axle carrier bolts as well, you'll be pleased to hear that not only do bmminiparts have them in stock but also they are the same as E28 ones and i've got a couple from the M5.

I think we will be able to find some nuts of the right size somewhere in the unit if it comes to it.

Looking good for significant progress this weekend, I am saddled with kids today, working tonight and tomorrow. May get a bit of time on saturday but unlikely - to preserve marital harmony I am not going to football on Saturday, swapping that to" I'm at the workshop" won't work! The car will be exactly as I left it.

Welder is there ready to go Nas, in case I forget, the gas bottle key is in the centre console of my Audi.

I'll also bring my plasma cutter down to help with grot removal (passenger footwell jack point) - it's good fun to play with if anyone wants a go!

I don't have a barbie at the mo (apart from a slightly dead gas one) does anyone have a suitable sized one they can bring, we could just improvise one I suppose.

I'll bring some burgers etc and some liquid refreshments. I will have to resemble a responsible adult in the evening and a hospital consultant on Monday, so I guess I'll be doing the taxi run to Jacko's house with a carful of drunks!

Earliest I can start is probably 0830-0900 due to marriage/children, I may be required to return home at some stage - maybe help with kids tea/bath then come back out after that. We'll see how it goes.

Hopefully as well as getting some work done on the Baur any bits and bobs on everyone else's car can be sorted out.

Jim

I can be about at any time if people want to bob down before Jim is allowed out to play! haha

If anyone does have another axle carrier bolt then please bring it with - i'm unsure if i managed to get both of them out.

I don't have a bbq i'm afraid, i could always pop to tescos, asda, etc and buy one of those cheep ones and a bag of coal - we'll see if the weather holds out or not.

The bolts are in, it's just the nuts off the end I need.

Tesco isn't far away, neither are B&Q and Halfords, which is probably going to be handy!

This is the way forward, my car came on leaps and bounds when the Warwickshire boys visited! I'm not around this weekend and Manchester is a bit far to pop in, but I could be around in a couple of weekends time either on the 15/16th. Anyone need a parts run??

Hi Nas, plenty of take-aways down Manchester road so no problems on that front. I'm not sure where you'd get Halal raw meet from though in and around the unit area? I'm sure we can find something though.

Jim - I should have a couple of spare nuts! Ohh bring soft drinks as well ;)
