for the sake of £20 per corner might as well save myself some cash and get 195/50's then. i only thought it was about £5-10 max per tyre, but not £20!

just the camera angle mate.theweekendhaslanded wrote:looking good pal!
Whats happening with the headlights? Has the chrome inside blistered or is it just the camera angle??
I can probably hook you up with quality part worns at £20 a corner fitted / balanced.pistonheader wrote:hmmm tempting at that price. do they last quite long? not much bhp and not much weight means my E21 isn't going to get through tyres too quick anyways.
don't suppose they'll be tooo much difference in rpm between those 2 either. from 80mph now, it would be 77.5mph so hardly a great deal really is it.
thanks for that rob!
edit: i've just noticed how much more expensive the same tyre is for a 195/55!!! it's over anther 50%!!!!
depends where abouts it is mate? if it's 100 miles each way (which if you're london it probs is) then 200 miles petrol is another £40-50.RetroBeemer wrote:I can probably hook you up with quality part worns at £20 a corner fitted / balanced.pistonheader wrote:hmmm tempting at that price. do they last quite long? not much bhp and not much weight means my E21 isn't going to get through tyres too quick anyways.

Pistonheader, pics of my car in the ACE cafe meet last month, has 195/50/15 Toyo R888's on it. Can't measure the drop though as they're coilovers:)pistonheader wrote:does anyone have any pics of there car which is also lowered 60mm, which is on 195/50's? obviously won't quite fill the arches as much, but i'm guessing it's pretty negligible?
195/50/15 on 6J up front and 195/50/15 on 7J at the back, -60mm on your own suspension fitted to your car!!pistonheader wrote:does anyone have any pics of there car which is also lowered 60mm, which is on 195/50's? obviously won't quite fill the arches as much, but i'm guessing it's pretty negligible?

thanks for those rob, you're a legend!wiz0r wrote:And proof I did at one stage actually drive an E21...
It's a tyre shop so they usually have stuff in stock. I'll get their number for you. They always have quality stuff in stock but I was lucky with the Toyos. Usual stuff is Pirelli or Fulda. Still quality rubber at ditchseeker special prices.pistonheader wrote:any idea how many miles they have done? think i'll snap those up! not home for another month or so yet, i'll send you a PM then and see if they are still available (my wheels are 150 miles from me!!)
if that's too long never mind.
thanks mark.
