I might be able to help you with the manual bits soon enough, and I might swap my 3.91 welder for a 3.45 welded in my 323i/M50 if I don't like the short ratios, so that could be available.

EDIT: I could sell you a 4 speed conversion now actually... Gearbox, prop, flywheel, clutch (who knows what condition!) and pedalbox and whatever else you need for £100

m20 4 speed. hmmmmmmm does it use the same prop as the 5 speed,

4 speed would be good for the drag up the strip but not sure the gearing will be right for the handling circuit. but thinking about it a welded diff wont help on the handling circuit but will be a lot of fun :).

will have those bits of you at end of month when decent paycheck comes through. do you have a company name for my to add some sponsership graphics on the car? if not make one up lol

well i now have some lovely wheels, thanks cobbler :) and i have set about doing yet more wheel refurbs again.

i went and bought a load of paint stripper and went to the local car wash and set about stripping the wheels (man that shit burns ya skin lol) from closer inpsection it appears one wheel is newer than the rest as it has a different stamp on it but physically identical it just cleaned up a lot quicker, most of the metal is in good condition just a bit tired.

Image

once i got back to base camp i then got out the wire wheel and stripped of a little more and got into the corroded top surface and its starting to clean up very nicely.

once i get some more done i will take some pics.

need 4 center caps hoever or i may have to make some or something

got the lips cleaned up so now just starts the boring sanding down bit.
takes aggeeesssssss!!!!!!!!

also had a go and stretching some 165 60 15 tires on the wheels, makes them look massive which is kinda cool, means i can slam the car to the floor aswell, super low bim

not sure it will help for the projet though,

paid jason for the wings and sill repair panels today so they should be winging there way down to me at some point now :)

having had a really good look under the car now (and getting lots of rust in my eyes) the worst area of rust is just behind the beam so its gonna be a beam out job which is a bit of a pain in the bum however the prop has to come off for the manual conversion and the suspension has to be changed from my white car so it might aswell all come off anyway.

next thing i need now is to purchase a welder
