The early 996 were very bad cos it was the first of the water cool engines, im looking for the 2005 facelift 3.6L 996 i know all about the teething faults, oh also to fit X2 rear tyres costs about 700 pounds, dont laugh and to do a clutch is gonna cost 1000 pounds, very high maintenance car!! which is why im taking my very best time to find a low mileage and owner based car, not jumping in to the fire to find out it needs parts and end up leaving it on the side road saving money for repairs LOOOOOL.

My choice would be the 964 Turbo 2 or if you want to remortgage your house, then a 993 Turbo 4 however this is purely personal preference.

Whichever 911 you get, definately go for a manual and not the tiptronic.

Hello everybody,

I am the new owner of this car, and what a nice example it is....as soon as i seen it, i thought....SWEET!.

Thanks for the kind words jimi....i plan to get a few bits fitted that i got from jimi, maybe some different wheel combo's, and thats it really as its nice the way it is already.

I will be on this forum now from time to time, as i will no doubt need advice on something.

Thanks,

Kev.

Thankyou, it certainly ticked all the boxes for me, will get the throttle body set up on soon and have some minor bits in the pipeline.

I was happy to pay that price, and the sound of the thing...
