possibly? im not too bothered / informed about old ass m20s lol. i have a 328i tubular manifold and cost only 30 quid!

its still worth buying if only to get rid of that rubber thing, which is what gives you that vague feeling.

what about the e30 link jason? im still interested but gotta keep an eye on the pennies would we be able to get them cheaper?

Sounds like a cheap ebay jobbie.

Power steering makes steering vague. Of all the things an e21 steering is (obviously, non power assisted), vague is one of the last things I would call it.

yeah it was a cheap ebay job but its a standard part therefore in abundance - all e36 328i come with a tubular manifolds.

if we get ten people to buy this part - i think Jason could get a better deal from his fabricator guy??

condition of the rubber guibo perishes over time so you dont tend to notice it. when i took mine off i was able to bend it completely in half easily - and it was cracking around the holes.

I have had both power steering and non power steering, theres still plenty of feel and dont think its over assisted at all, i only notice the power steering working at very slow speeds. even so i did notice a big positive difference with steering sensitivity once i got rid of the rubber.

its not surposed (or designed) to be so stiff you cant bend it. You might be lucky, as jason said, machining spines or gear sets becomes really expensive, usually doesnt matter if you get 1 or 10 done, still charge you for the work hours on each piece.

The cost is in the tooling and they can do them the same price as the e30 ones which are shorter, the cost for one off is about £90 and more people yes it's cheaper but I have not got enought to go for 5 yet let alone 10 and I as I have to pay up front I don't want to be in the same boat as when I spent £3.5k on steering racks to meet the minium order and took 5 years to sell them

I gotta say I don't think this is too expensive given the cost of machining etc. Plus it actually does the job properly rather than employing Heath Robinson.

Money waiting, and I bought a quickrack! 8)

I didn't actually know about the MOT fail possibility as I was thinking of getting one welded, but I think this is the ideal solution.

When I originally fitted my M50 it actually cleared the guibo/linkage, but after I got it back from its exhaust it was jamming against it. This is when I found out one of my engine mounts had mysteriously snapped... Either way even of it does clear the linkage there won't be much room in it at all, and you won't want it binding on a hard left hander

Jason, is this linkage all that's needed to get the S50 6 branch in?

Hi jas are these uni's 'servicable' ? I was thinking about making these hybrid unis but couldnt work it out... Once you press out the UJ, when re-assembling, how to you retain the UJ in the bore? The material is crimped around the caps on the stock part.

Im assuming you are selling just the shaft, or the whole unit with unis?? Price definitely seems fair.
