At the weekend I removed all the empty boxes etc off the roof of the slug so I can actually see it in my garage. Popped the bootlid off and gazed adoringly at the fuel system. bonnet still has stuff piled on it!
Tomorrow I will finish the filler work on the rear arches and bonnet of the Baur then instruct my painting friend to go for it with the 2k high build primer prior to me doing much sanding. Depending how I feel, and if the ramp is cleared (has had a volvo sat on it having brakes fixed for last 2 weeks, but as the mechanic guy has left and the volvo belongs to Jason the "landlord's" son it's not moving in a hurry!) I might bolt the propshaft and gear linkage on. I might connect the battery up and see if the car is as alive as I hope - will involve some guesswork on the ignition leads. Must remember to tighten the rear hubs and stick split pins in, and fit the new track rod ends.
Tomorrow night I will assemble my (hopefully) last list of bits needed for the Baur and get them ordered from my friendly BMW dealer. I suspect I'll have to order a load of alternator/PAS pump bits as well as the rear light cluster gaskets, underbonnet foam pad, and the other thing I keep forgetting!
I will accept bets on how little of the above I actually get done!
I have Megasquirt ECU which has launch control as an option - it retards ignition and hold revs on user selected value before launch - this spools turbo and launch should be faster with good tires and non-slipping clutch
Today I drove 150 miles across the Brecon Beacons to Snowdonia following the A470 for most of it, Great fun with plenty of 3rd gear overtaking, sweeping bends and not a speed-hump or pothole in sight.
today I cursed my dealer for ordering the wrong windowseals for my rearside windows for the second time. Besides that, I'm in the process of aquiring a LSD for my 323i. Besides that I made a bid on a 323i bodyshell. I want it, to chop of te roof an exchange is with my own roof, just for the original BMW sunroof. Hope my bid will be accepted.
today i drove to work. and drove home. topped up the coolant.
needs a wash, was guna do it after work but couldnt be arsed. it'll only get dirty again. sheffield roads are filthy!

Just back from driving the Evo triangle here in North Wales. Fantastic sunny weather, great scenery and roads too! Porsche 944 tried to stay with us. Failed miserably.
Removed the Alpina b7 spec diff and mocked up the mz3 coupe back boxes
