Did a few jobs today and started by prepping the doors so I can fit the carbon-fibre doorcards.
Also ran a new live to the fuel pump although I might re-locate it as it's vibrating where its currently fitted.
The floors are all rock solid but there are a couple of spots that need repainting. Especially where my feet go. I might even put a bit of checker-plate in instead?
I started taking the seats out so I can cut out the OE mounts. I've ordered the alloy side mounts that Jason suggested.

Not a big fan of checker plate slipy when wet
A good coat of stone chip with white over it then some skate board grip tape or sheet from ebay, also put some on the pedals
Other work while mod run a breather line from the gearbox vent to a spare clutch reservoir and mount it in the engine bay, do the same for the diff and mount it in the boot. Often forgot about mood as if the breather is blooked by dirt (and often is in a road car) the fluids overheat and blow past the seals

Just so happens my son has a roll of grip-tape for his boards. Well he did have. I'm going to take off the nasty pedals it has and use the tape as you suggested.
Thanks for the advice Jason - much appreciated. Thanks to Ben & Jim too.
Decided on a livery too. Going to just do the tri colour on the sides as in your sig pic Jason. There's a local vinyl sign fab shop near me so hopefully they can hook me up?

I was gifted some vinyl today so think I'm going to have a go at copying this livery on the race car. I'm not going for an exact replica, just something along these lines.
Whipped the seats out and started making measurements for re-positioning the drivers seat. Also fitted a proper BMW Motorsport steering wheel.

It sounds great Mark! Looking forward to some action movies. Mayby you can convert it to a Gruppe. 5 racecar and then the Jägermeister livery, would be a great car then.
But of course this car in Motorsport colors will be great as well.

You have a nice setup with those cars and that workshop mate. Awesomness
How does it compare to the Tango 325 in oomph?

It feels quicker cos its lighter & louder I guess? I'm not sure there's all that much difference although I guess the 2.7 in Tango gives more torque? Shame I can't squeeze the TWR in there too!

I'm glad you're keeping your car Murran. The cage will really suit it too. What colour are you painting it?

A change of plans means that I can't get to Spa next month so instead it's going to be North Weald airfield instead. I'm entered in a sprint event there which will at least give me the chance to get a bit more used to the car prior to Crystal Palace.
I've been trying to prep the car, to the best of my limited ability anyway, and have changed all the fluids except the LSD which I plan to do this week. I've fitted carbonfibre door cards that I go from Jason a while back and a proper catch tank in the engine bay.
I am still looking at where to mount the seat but it still seems to be a bit of a compromise between comfort and ease of control. As I'm a bit of a lump, it makes sense to get myself sat as low as I can. I'm also fitting a quick release wheel to try and make getting in and out easier.
I've just ordered a fibreglass bonnet from Mick @
www.pristinebodyworks.com and it turns out he is doing the same event in a 540. I've also swapped the standard door mirrors from Engellman style ones and swapped from twin headlights to singles.
Once I've got the final few jobs done I'll take some pics. I would like to do something to brighten up the livery / paintwork too. I was thinking of eventually building it into a replica County Car but for now I just want to get out there and have a go!
