I appreciate the input guys realy I do...but I have my heart set on a tricked out e21 not an e30 with an e21 body. Ill tell ya what...Ill stick my 323 lump in the baur, play with the gear ratio in the rear end, keep the three speed and do nothing else to it. Then have a drag race with ya at santa pod. If ya beat me by hmmm ...... lets say half a track length Ill switch it out for the e30. and by half a track length I mean your at the finish line and Im half way down the track. Of course this is money dependent and next year not this year cause ill never make it for this year. hows that?

They're both the same engines - an M20 - so fitting a 2.5 doesn't make it any less e21.

your right...its the date stamps in the block and the electronic injection Im on about. dont forget, upto this point, all my e21's have been restored for concourse so date stamps and period mods make all the difference. thats what Im on about....so yes Ill have issues with the 87 rockers in my 81 head but only I can see that..

dont get me wrong, Im not slighting you guys, I just have a perticular vision in mind for my motor thats all. And a friendly race of course...hehe
