decent hubcentric spacers are the way to go mark. H&R are top notch. widing the track will improve handling and is the same as lowering the offset off your wheels efectivly

I collected these Melbers yesterday which are et13 so am keeping everything crossed it'll sort the issue. If not, I might just have to go with spackers I guess.

Are the rear springs 2.25"? Do you have any scope to move the coilover away from the tyre where it bolts onto the trailing arm bracket? I'll be interested to see what Gaz have to say!
Mine clear with no issues, they're not Gaz but are designed for E21 trailing arms. My MiM's are the same offset and width so you maybe ok! Here's mine for reference, springs are 12" long and I use them on the lowest height possible, so the spring is right down to the trailing arm and it still clears.

what top mounts do you use with those dampers?

I pulled all the rubber out of standard E21 top mounts so all thats left is the metal, welded a thick plate under neath the top mount, drilled the plate and bolted a clevis onto it.
I know others have got thick plate, drilled bolt holes for the top mount bolts and mounted a clevis in a similar way. My way was pretty easy and does the job perfectly.

On e30 coilvers you run an bush to move the coilover away from the trailing arm, gaz could supply the same bit for the e21. Also compbrake sell a rear offset topmount, or you could buy a blank compbrake topmount and drill it to suit.

Thanks Jason.
I'm going to suggest Gaz supply the same part as on the e30 ones.
These are the rims I'm going to be running in place of the Rotas.
