Yeah, my car is wearing those wheels at the moment and is on 20mil spacers.

They might fit directly, but I'd give them at least the same spacers as you have on the front. Not only will it look silly if your rear wheels are further inward then the fronts, I can also imagine it would be better handling-wise to keep them a the same offset.

I did a trackday with no spacers on the rear as I had a problem with some broken wheelbolts meaning I didn't have enough to fit all four spacers. No change in handling whatsoever. However it looks a bit funny if your rear wheels are set in compared to the front.

Wider front actually help corning if you work the maths, a lot of french hot hatch run wider front tack from the factory, the main reason fro front spacers is to stop the rim hitting the track rod end at on the front wheel, or else it doe snot it

As you bring the rear down, the negative camber increases, so the tyres are more likely to just tuck beneath the arch.

I did not post proper pictures since I joined which I got with me today......was waiting for the right day !

Issue 1: The car is not on the standard Shocks/Springs, it is my daily until I graduate in May (3 months time)
I want to get the lowered classic BMW look but still I don't to scratch the M10's bum on every road so I was thinking 60/40 or 40/40 springs?
Not going for coils really just springs for now unless you don't recommend it

Issue 2: The reason to lower is my front tyres are gone so it is my chance to get some wheels on! I was thinking of either 15" BBS basketweave from E30 or some replica 15" from Ebay

Please enlighten my mind with your Advice experts

E30 BBS need spacers. I can do you a set of proper e21 ''basketweave'' 15'' Melbers for £275.
