Besides,it makes you a better driver.

I dont want to upset people who like stuff stock, thats not the purpose of the thread.

If you can handle an e21 with an m5x in the rain THEN you become the better driver. When the limit is increased then its a bigger challenge to achieve, which makes it much more fun. :launch

I'm not upset,Nas.But you did end your thread with,"The End".
And you know me an my OEM fetish....I agree that an E21 with all the "stuff",goes-handles-stops better than,say.........mine.
But i have as much fun as you.THE END!!!!!!!!!!!

Its always going to be a debate with any kind of classic car really. OEM vs Modified, its 2 different worlds that no-ones going to agree on in the end. Stock cars are more desirable and cost lots more money but most of the time its because they have not been used much and looked after. Modified cars go for less and are usually driven into the ground but then thats where forums like this come into play. If everyone had a nice stock car where nothing ever needed fixing we wouldnt be here trying to find new ways of doing things and advising each other. Fun is where you find it. Hell, people get off looking at feet! Now thats bonkers

Best reason for modding a car is because that's the way you want it to be. I've spent way more than my car is worth to someone else. It doesn't matter to me though, as I have no plans to sell it in the near future.
