Indeed there were some mix-ups then. I have a facelift (produced in september 1979), but the color is from a type 1.. I guess they had some paint left overPeter V. wrote:I believe that 1979/1980 was the time that BMW made all kinds of combinations. So you could find E21 cars with the type 1 dashboard but with the type 2 mirrors or doorcards or a type 1 frontspoiler and type 2 backside etc etc. It was just to empty the warehouse of al the type 1 parts.
