Thanks guys. Yep, I'm planning to take her to the annual Lelystad meet... said I wanted a driveable E21 for the time being and I was focusing on a 323i but as said... how to resist...
As for the wheels... dunno yet, for now I'll leave her on the original steel wheels. Unless Michael Cahsel makes me a real good deal...

The higher sides of the headrests as can be found on the early E21's (up to abt 1980)...

That's one sweet ride! Proper 70's look

Keep the steelies, but try to get a hold of the chrome "rings" to put on them, tear off the rear spoiler, and give it a proper cleaning and then you're all set to go!

The chrome rings are definitely a good idea. I haven't checked so I don't know if the rear spoiler is a bolt on version or just glued. From the owner I understood it has been on there for almost 30 years so I'm afraid the trunklid will be up for a respray if I take it off.

It's easy to fit 5.5J 13" with 185/70-13 tires and chrome rings in the wheels. It would look cool and original
I guess the trunklid will have holes in it....

Apologise for not replying any sooner!
In the E21 corner:
323i 1981 (currently in the middle of an extremely slow restoration project)
323i 1980 (waiting for me to decide... sell it or finish it)
320/4 1976 (hope this one will bet MOT'd and on the road shortly)
And in the E30 corner:
325i 1988 (trackday playmobile)
320iS 1988
