The fact that the businesses left viable despite the developers deliberately making the whole place look like a war zone over the last 5 or so years (to try and get the last tenants out without having to pay compensation) are the curry house and one of the best chip shops in the area says that they are good. The Post office is still there too, but he's a grumpy sod.

my old man almost bought that post office about 18 years ago. it was making a small fortune back then but these days none of them do thus why hes probably so grumpy. im up for a curry

It was a "nice" shop inside 18 years ago but in recent times it's become grotty/horrible.

I met Reck on Sunday morning as he was heading off to see Nas for a new clutch (driving to work in Baur and you meet another e21 ) and I think he has a prior engagement. So count him out. I think 3 is enough anyway but see who else pops up.

I was hoping for the 7th because I am now working in London and with the best will in the world, wouldn't be able to make it before 10pm. I'll see if I can get home the night before and work from home, otherwise hopefully catch up with you guys again

I am at my Cousins wedding on the Saturday so definitely not free. The Tandoori is closing on the Tuesday, I suspect the building will be knocked down on Wednesday from looking at the state of things now. The developers just want it all gone, so do the local population, but they should pay compensation to the people losing their livelihoods first.

So reschedule to a later date is not on!

We need to find a good venue for the future.

As you drive into Hale Barns you will notice a large demolition site on the left - it's in the bit of the building that's still standing!
