just got off the phone to pro-alloy, so need to send them some pictures and some sketches of a simplified tank to reduce cost, but they can accomodate pretty much anything.
It may be easier for me to prototype an alloy one to check fitment then get pro alloy or langy's to copy externally and do thier magic on baffles sumps and inspection hatches.
send them your old tanks? also you can de-fume them.
They did say i can do that but pro alloy would replicate the tank to the best of thier abilities, and that would put the price up.
if i can simplify the tanks first, flatten out all the surfaces, and confirm fitment in the shell that would dramatically reduce the cost. plus the more ordered the cheaper they will be.
10+ tanks would reduce the costs by up to £90 each tank down to a yet TBC cost.
Most euro e21 only have the sender in the tank, some have a lp feed pump as well but that is more common in the us. When egngine swaping an e21 you can swap the sender out for a e30 318is intank pump with a little effort.
so the idea would be the sender sits in an internal box in the tank taht doubles as a swirl pot. For upgrades you swap the sender unti for an e30 intank pump, on the other side of the tank fit a second e30 intank pump that pumps into the swirl port area of the first pump.
