Amazing. Well at least you'll be able to do some measurements. Could it be the brackets are not 100% straight or centered?

Top bearings, usually these cause a knocking sound when steering or going over a speed bump. For them to cause this I guess they'd have to be completely shot. Only way to do a decent check is to remove the strut from the car, compress the spring and check for freeplay on the bearing. Please note that I've even seen slight freeplay on new bearings, but not on new ones from the dealer btw.

I was wondering that about the brackets as well but the surfaces which contact are completely clean adn free of rust and the bolts to hold on the brackets have been torqued to spec. With the top bearings I don't seem to have a knocking or anything so it isn't that.

The results from the dial gauge show that there is a huuuge difference in the width/face of the discs. I'll try upload a video to youtube but there should be an allowance of around 0.15mm from either side of the disc (apparently according to the interwebz) and anything more if a defect. Im getting around .6-.7mm difference on one side of the face and then .3-.4 on the other. So, from the factory these discs have been warped. Very very strange coming from Wilwood.. but I'm going to get in contact with them and see whats up.

I'll keep everyone posted.
