My boot leaked everywhere I did a fresh bead and still leaked through lights light seals filler neck both ends rear window seal lol was a pain also adjusting the seal and persuading it to meet the boot lid helped I put my phone on video and shut the boot to see if there was a crack now it's sealed lol

Jeroen; did you mean the height from the top of the seal to where it meets the boot lid, and that the seal therefore won't snug up to the inside of the boot lid? Or the height of the rim itself and that the seal won't remain in place?

what you need to do is get a tin can and stick it on top of an old ceramic tile. in the middle of the boot. then get one of them smoke matches / pellets you use to test chimneys with. light it , drop it in the tin can, then quickly shut the boot, stand there and wait for the smoke signals to tell you whats going on.

Where did you buy your replacement seal from? I think I need to replace mine soon.

Yeah they have loads takes a week for most parts they order in from Germany,for big parts they are but you always know what your getting,it was 80 quid :-/

I have a spare (new) that came with my car from the previous owner I can sell you. I think I will go down a different route and use a different type of seal around the lip instead. Ordered a set of samples off ebay and they are promising
