Last week I was at the scrapyard in my home town.
Somebody that I knew told me that his brother had an E12 520iA for sale.
It stood at the corner just 500 meters away, so I ran to my car and in a split second I arrived.
There she was, at first sight a nice and original looking E12.
Original paint in Resedagreen, with the original tyres. Sold to the first and only dutch owner in 1981.
The odometer showed only 52.000 kms... all documents from day one are there even the original invoice.
In my opinon this could be a very nice and collectable E12.
Of course there are some issues: rearbumper has a serious dent, frontpanel under the frontbumper shows rust and some minor scratches.
The price is €7.000, not the most cheap E12 but what I saw its all original and worth making brand new.

By my knowledge 520i was only produced in the first series till 1977.
So this will problably a 520-6 with automatic transmission.

Yes its a 520-6 with auto geabox, last time registered 1980, so first owner indeed.
Such a shame it is a 3 speed auto, drives horrible, reves realy high on motorway. I know because mine was a 520-6 Auto once
