IF YOU GET STUCK FOR A PAINTER MY BROTHER LIVES IN MATLOCK AREA DERBYSHIRE, MAYBE TO FAR FOR YOU BUT HE IS A VERY GOOD PAINTER ( BEEN DOING IT FOR 15 YEARS PLUS) I COULD ASK IF HE WOULD BE INTERESTED.HE DOSNT REALLY LIKE DOING PRIVATE WORK BUT IF YOU GET DESPERATE YOU NEVER KNOW!
IVE GOT THREE 323I'S, NONE OF THEM ON THE ROAD YET BUT WILL BE NEXT YEAR. THE THIRD ONE I PICK UP HAD A BOOT FULL OF GOODIES---BRAND NEW UNUSED SPAX FULLY ADJ SHOCKS, SPRINGS, FULL EXHUST SYSTEM,FULL SET OF CALIPERS, PADS,BRAKE LINE,BRAIDED HOSES,ALL BOXED, AND THE CAR ONLY SHOWS 47K WITH HISTORY UP TILL 1993 ALL BRAND NEW BITS PLUS THE CAR FOR £550 GREAT!!!!

Thanks for the suggestion Paul, am in need of welding, and the garage that did my service recommended two places in Broadheath. I'll be heading down there ASAP for a quote. They both do accident repairs and spraying, so I may end up getting the whole job done quite soon.

There's been a bit of progress on the car, I've put some pics and blog type comments on my website...

Well I have made a decision about the fate of this car. Went to put the BBS-Mahle alloys/new tyres on the car - finally got some long enough wheel bolts. Anyway I slid the trolley jack in under the front drivers side jacking point and levered away. After a few moments I realised the car wasn't lifting. The whole jacking point/sill is rotten and actually fallen off.

This in itself is near terminal, combined with the passenger B-pillar rust, the car is definitely too far gone to save. Shame, but that's it.

I'll post in the for sale section about the car, I don't have anywhere to store it whilst breaking for spares, so it needs to go as a complete item soon.
