Cleaned all the seats too with me Mams vax carpet cleaner. They came out great ! I could have bottled the 80's smell that came from them, Mmmmmm. The amount of dirt that came out was unbelievable.

Stripped the car out and cleaned everything. Going to waxoil the floor and get it put back together ready for the MOT. Am putting some brass into it now to get her looking sweet!

Good job with the speakers. Did the parcel shelf need adjusting? I need to do the same job eventually.

Yea, had to cut 2 holes into the parcel shelf. There are already 2 semi cut oval holes measuring 6''x3.5'' so i just used those as a guide and chopped a round hole into the wood. The shelf just pops off from some clips.
They sound cool, didnt want to boy racer the thing up and these are just the job-25 quid from argos.

Certainly look up to the job to me.

The system I have in my Baur was just put together with used bits from Gumtree except the 6x4 JBL's which were about 60 quid for the 4. There's a 10 inch sub in the boot and Sony CD head unit. I just bought a lead to connect my i-phone and I love it. It's not a max-power style annoy the world type system but its a really nice, clear sound with a bit of depth to it.
I think you'll get better sound from having the speakers mounted in the parcel shelf though. My rears had to go in the side panels so that the hood wouldn't cover them when it's down.

Yeah, i bet putting speakers in the rear of a bauer is a little more challenging. I want to change the front ones too. Does anyone know the stock size of them ?

6x4's - JBL and JVC both do some good quality ones at a good price.

I use Lancaster too. About 9 quid a month. I've been with them about 19 months and claimed once. They paid for a new hood for the Baur and I just paid 100 quid excess towards a £1000 bill. Premium didn't even go up!

yeah, with the fully comp jobby they dont ask too many questions. Its good stuff, they dont bother with no claims tho do they. Got some new boots on and got it tracked up too. Handles lovely if not bizzare after driving a van for 2 months

I reckon getting the wheels balanced and aligned has to be the best thing you can do for your car. Always amazes me how many people change all their suspension yet don't get it tracked.

You could see on the old wheels how the tracking had worn all the edge away, the tyres were probably quite dangerous cuz they were about 8 years old. I only got some cheap jobbies as im gonna get those RH wheels revamped and get some big boots on them.
Just mega chuffed to be driving it again! Its more enjoyable now i have a 2nd car (or van) cuz i dont need to worry about it so much having problems. Its nice to just be able to use it ocasionally and keep it in good nick. MOT next week though
Saved a few quid up to bang into it this year tho so fingers crossed i can start bringing it to some shows and meet all the people off here.

You know, i finally get the thing with women and shoes.......I seem to have the same problem with wheels. Just bought these of ebays. Thinking they may look good on the E21 but i pretty much bought em cuz they were 60 quid.
