Might be worth cutting the pins off the back of the BMW badges and mounting them with trim tape? Worth a look anyway and easily reversible if they look shit.
Apart from that the whole cars looking much better now you've lost the max power look.

Why is it every time I see it I want a bar of chocolate though??

yer Rav, my old man told me.

I keep the car at his, and every time I go round to work on it, he's out burning around in it.

I new I'd regret getting him insured.

To be fair I love that the old fella gets some fun out of driving it, may as well be used whilst I'm at work.

Started chroming the windows tonight, looking pretty good. Will post some pics tomorrow showing the alpinas.

Old men are the same.
Mine hated my E28 M5 when I bought it, and after i took him out in it, i'd be at work on the bus, when i got home, guess what, no car, no dad until the early mornings.
Hasn't been for a drive in the M30 cab yet, but won't be getting his fingers on that.
That E21, does it have rear pop outs???

what are rear pop outs?

If u mean headrests? Then it just has some homemade ones.

Will catch up with you sometime.

Looking good! Are you going to re fit the stainless trim that runs around the car? BMW badges would look nice if you can find a way of fitting them? I'd try using trim tape once you cut the original plastic lugs off the rear of the badge.
Be keen to see how you get on re doing the door and window surround as I want to re do mine once I have a respray.

Ive done the rear windows, just stripped the paint, so will be looking for a nice pair of rear opening windows.

Will do the front ones this week.

Any idea where i can get the Chrome trim for front and back windscreen?

Badge wont look right without the recess in the bonnet/boot.

I know what you mean about the bootlid but you might get away with the bonnet one? Might be worth just laying one on there to see?

Main dealer might be able to do screen trim? If not either W&N in Germany or maybe even Euro Car Parts or German & Swedish?

Was the silver ok and the black paint then?

Shit me those Alpinas have made such a difference, it's really coming along now! I wouldn't worry about badges for the time being. If they were stuck on with tape I'd be in constant fear of them flying off on the motorway!
