[quote="KpetersHe's had a hard life before having me as an owner  . Actually those rims just read "BMWw/roundel" and "FPS" im not quite sure if they are Mahrle i don't think so, I'll post the pic soon so you can see. quote]

Hi there,

You do have to worry, for BMW FPS is as original alloy-wheel as MAHLE-BBS or later on simply BBS. My bumper-"question" was a stupid one. Later on observed, that EVEN MY camera turns bumper "down". (Had taken same kind of photo like You  )

FPS made later on f.ex. original BMW-basket-weave-alloys for E30. The quality is as BBS:s. I´ve had a set of 7*15 ET24-wheels and there were 2 BBS:s and 3 F.P.S:s and I am totally sure that set was original.

Kpeters wrote: Thanks 4 the compliments :D im working my ass off for the beemer. When I bought the car, the door panels were like gray with black they were really worn out. I repaired them a bit and used some black colorant on them so they look newer. They are the orginal ones, with chekered fabric but I'm not sure of the orinal fabric color. Perhaps someone knows about bmw's interior colors for 1981? I have beige seats with combination leather and 2 fabrics.

Youy say grey with black? I understand the darkness of the cloth trim from that, but your vinyl looks to be beige in colour. I'm not sure if by 'grey' you mean biege (they're kinda similar I guess :D); or whether BMW had a colour combo like that! I know my e30 was biege with a bit of lighter biege; my e12 has black and darkbrown trim; and all the other e21s here seem to have matching colour combos too.

If anyone has info or a catalogue on original trim colours, it would be interesting!

And Jeroen, I was only joshing! - I've always known you were a big softie  !!...And I'd have to agree the cars were pretty cute.

Cheers
Mathew

I know, but still have to click the cam at the right moment for the turning light to be on :P

Was just kidding around with someone on the other side of the globe.

Kastanienrot is my favourite color after saphirblau of course :!:
