funny you should ask about any progress because i pulled the back arch covers off today!! collected from mot garage last week but didn't have chance to tax it til saturday morning.

shocking how much muck these hide!
but with a good clean...
an improvement i hope you'll agree. anyway-failed mot on headlight beam off, and blowing exhaust. so all in all, car with full mot and a few other bits, owes me just under £400.
not bad i think you'll agree. just need some better wheels now.

the arches are actually really solid. its muck and mastic hanging off them, not rusty metal. will do the fronts in the morning, but not worried about them as i could always bolt new wings on if i respray it. need some decent rims if anybodys got any??

If you want some rims, check out Edition38, quite a few 4x100's on there atm, and all price ranges too.

got a price and any pics of the wheels. (i know what they look like, but what condition are they).
only trouble now is i'm fearing the worst-went out and got the car warmed up properly and it went into the red on the temp gauge.(took 15 mins to get this hot) so i pulled over straight away.
i've flushed out the coolant system and i'm going to remove the thermostat tomorrow and see if it still gets too warm. radiator looks half rotten so i'm going to get that re-cored before i think of pulling the head off.
i knew it was going too well. something had to bite me on the arse!
