I'm going to take a different stance and say it might be a difficult one to live with long term. I could be wrong though.

I like the blue would look great with cream centred wheels

I used to have a Renaultsport Clio 182 in Racing Blue.

It was a stunning colour to detail, so much depth and clarity.

IMO an E21 would look amazing in this colour, but I can't be sure how well it would stand the test of time. It's certainly not a timeless colour, and has periods of popularity.

Neh, that belongs on a GT40 or a Porsche 917 imo but the Clio is a good example, nothing wrong with that color!

The Aston colour on the Vanquish is Flugplatz Blue, when I first saw the colour on a Vanquish I though it was brilliant but it doesn't quite have the same effect anymore. There is another similar Aston colour - Elwood Blue.

I never got tired of seeing the orange on MIB, it was a great colour. Personally if it were me I would be looking at orange again, but a different shade to give it some distinction over MIB. If you're still thinking along the orange lines check out another Aston Colour - Flame Orange, It was used on a couple of the V12 Vantage Roadsters.

Should you need any of the paint codes drop me a pm.

Spoke to Aston Martin today and got the code but thanks. (it's electric coral blue not flugplatz but they're pretty close anyway)

If I were starting over and forgetting my predilection for dark blue metallics- I would look at those zany BMW light and bright metallic greens that 2002 and early 3 series came in??...............
