Post finally brought notification that, subject to me handing over a wad of cash, I could collect my braided hoses and billet diff mounts from Eurometric. They should look pretty trick so long as you're a) behind me and b) either laying down or 9 inches tall. :thumbsup

Going over on Thursday to check progress.

I was lucky enough to see in the metal and it looks excellent mate. It always looked good anyway but it's mint now and the chassis looks factory fresh.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rear end going back on my car after it gets a paint freshen up. It'll be the new brakes & lines next but once I get the door cards from Matt I can start sorting the interior. I decided against the aircon console and am going with a custom one instead, so it can house the oil pressure & temp' gauges along with the nitrous gauge and arming switch. It's just a shame there isn't a RHD version of the Alpina dash-top gauge pod.

Went and saw my car today. The m50 inlet swap is done and the 6 branch is also on. The nitrous jets are going on and going to be hidden beneath the inlet manifold. I'm still waiting on the lightened flywheel but everything needs to come apart again for final cleaning anyway.

It's going to look so much better with all the redundant e36 wiring being binned and no OE fuse box and clutter. :)

BMW made sure that the m52 balances well on bricks :) also thats a shiny manifold.. where did you get it from?

Get ya'self to specsavers! They're wooden blocks.

Manifold was bought months ago.

yes but from where!?

ahh the classic wooden block instead of brick method.. I've used them once or twice to hold an engine upright too.

I could make you feel guilty and tell you that due to breaking my neck and back ,we had to get the engine high enough to enable me to work on it, and the proper stand wasn't high enough. I wouldn't do that though.
