Went to Pristine today and we started to mock up the engine install for one last time. Now everything fits as it should the mounts etc have all gone for powder coating in black, along with the strut braces. We also fitted the 6 branch which fits remarkably well considering it's an e36 item.

There's way more room with the engine sat at the correct level.

We also dug out the new fuel tank & swirl pot for the track car.

Yes. Losing that huge lump of metal holding the servo and getting the engine sat right has freed up a lot more space.

In the old MIB the elbow from the throttle body would foul the inner wing. There's room to spare now.

The super light flywheel eventually arrived today.

Also plan to make a fibreglass airbox with internal filter and direct cold air feed.

No. It failed due to issue with transporter & timing. (nothing to do with the seller who is genuine)

A bit more progress.

The rear beam was cleaned & painted, new handbrake cables fitted and installed with dual billet mounts. The rear LEDA coilovers had been rebuilt by Gaz and the whole lot is now back in the car. Quest Motorsport are tasked with building the exhaust as the old system needs work to clear the new diff install.

New fuel lines, TCA's and braided brake lines. The front LEDA have also had to go for some work but once they're back it'll be a rolling / steering shell once more. Next job is the total re-wiring using the loom from the states.

I know I'm biased but Mick is doing an awesome job. I am really chuffed at the way things are coming along. :)
