Cool cheers John, may try to get engine in with some help this weekend, im off to wales the weekend after so if your free the one after that (7th/8th May ?) to help with the wiring and fiddly bits id really appreciate it

Well a good old sesh in the factory today has gotten results. With the makka skills or Mr Murran the new motor is finally seated and bolted in!!! :banana I did the important job of supervising and making coffee while John did all the easy work of putting the motor in.

it was fun today.
engine was an arse to wiggle on the 'box, but we got there without using too many swear words.

yep, your coffee making skils are second to none!


except my wife who brings coffee while im still in bed, which im sure you wouldnt!?

Just ordered me a soldering iron from t'ebays so will make a start on that wiring this week. Cheers again for all the help

well the guys on this 'ere forum talked you into this engine swap stuff.... its only right one of us helps you along with it.
plus i wana see the smile on your face when you set off from a junction with a shit load of tyre smoke piling out of a rear wheel arch!

You did of course do the loom first, meaning the wiring headaches some people get won't be an issue..? :wink:
Mines done, just need to put the engine in... :bag

Nar, the big oily bit took priority over the wiring. Looks like ill be making alot more coffee before thats done :D
