engine get fired up by ben and laurie, i had a little listen the other night and engine is sweet as a nut!!!!

wings and sills and manual conversion are being picked up on friday with a bit of luck and instalation of the whole lot can begin.

main bits to tackle now are welding of the sills, the rear inner sill being the worst off and then refitting new brake lines and fuel lines ready for the MOT

Once the Mot is complete will swap the suspension over from my white car ready for the challenge.

once the car is back on wheels will start rolling her outside for some nice pics

I suppose I had better start removing the gearbox and stuff!

Is this a combined effort then?

okay, car now hs new wings and all nice n shiny n black (will be green if time permits before challenge)

auto box is off and so is prop

the exhaust has been removed and the best bits chosen for refitting so all going well so far.

when doing a manual conversion i need a little bearing which sits in the crank and supports the gearbox input shaft, does anyone know what this bearing is?

i went into BMW to see what there computer says and the bloke showed me a pick with what looks like loads of different bearings and spacers, the whole lot cam to about £50, i thought it was just one bearing???

has anyone got a pic of what the bearing would look like and what bits i need?

if anyone has a used one that would be fantastic as i can just fit that.

yes got the sills thanks but havent even unwrapped them yet, was to busy digging about with my turbo kit last night and trying to get that to fit n stuff

i really cant be arsed to do the sill work myself so going to drive the car up to a local garage i think and get them to start the work. looking in depth at the work that needs doing i may infact patch the sills for now just to get it through the MOT. I can weld and well up for doing the work myself but with no ramp and no welder it becomes a little tricky

car rear beam is being stripped of on sunday ready for inner welding on the monday, diff welding and hopefully if time permits a little bit of manual gearbox fitting/completeion.
the guy that is doing the welding/lending be the welded will also be doing the MOT. he says it will pass which is good news to say the least!

Still trying to track me down some wizards of nos solenoids but its not the end of the world if i dont i guess

Great looking car, love the colour, E21s had some lovely colours compared to E30s.
