Personal preference. Some people like them, some people dont. If we all liked the same thing, this would be one boring forum.

Word to that. Sometimes I feel like the only one who likes mudflaps, twin headlights and steelies. :D

DennisB6 wrote:To be honest I like the later Recaro Alpina seats more than my Sheels. But they were already in the car and it's a comfortable seat. No doubt that the sheels were fitted in the same model in other cars, but no way they were supplied in the same cloth otherwhere than from Alpina. As it's a rare seat I'll just take good care of them and keep them in this car.
I have to agree with Dennis here

I have genuine Recaro leather seats in my E30 Hartge and these Scheel Alpina stripey Jobs in the E21 Alpina- I am very tall and slim- and the Scheel seats seem to tip down- the Recaros seem to work (for me at least) a bit better. The guys have been busy modifying the runners in Alpina to a get them to sit level and get them to go back further- both now sorted!

But of course originality is key here and I would not swap them over

Ditto I had Camilla's Camaro Conv. original red seats recovered some years ago rather than go for far better aftermarket ones as the original design is important to maintain coherence etc
