It seems there is an increasing trend for originality (within the constraints of cost and availability)- an area I think I have previously commented upon.
ps please don't be shy about your classic cars- love to see them listed below your signature as indeed MarkE21 now does, and as we are used to in CCCUK etc

Alun has told me his thin stripes are 15 mm deep

so the real answer is more complicated than I thought!

Main idea is to get it right once (one of my business principals- and Bob Lutz's in Guts) and revert with the knowledge publically so we may all benefit! The supplier I feel sure will want to make sure his kits are 100% correct

Thanks Jeroen for sorting out the pictures! I took some photos in order to get some good shots to compare with Alun's car-and now we can now see where my stripes have gone awry!

The thin stripes on Alun's car are 15mm wide and the whole set is further forward- my set were from a B9 (E12) you can see the differences hopefully in these two shots
the guy who made the stripes is going back to the drawing board (literally) to make me a new set.
This will mean that in future we will have a reliable source of these impossible to find Deko stripes (Alpina don't stock them as they deteriorate whilst held in stock)

still looking good imho.. also maybe paint the wheel inserts where the bolts are black as per the black b6?

I do agree the wheels would be better with the centres painted black-

next bit of shopping will be those RPM top mounts- so I can try to provide some competition to Mark's MIB when he gets here for the Manx Classic next month!!
