Ha ha! Problem child is the one being crushed in the boot. Nas on the roof. And Recks good looks can only be seen from the back with the check shirt and hat on.

Did you keep the engine - looks like it's going to be dragged onto the truck with the carcass

It was really hard work Jeroen, but nice to see a smile and a time to joke with the guys. Really appreciate how everyone went out of their way to help

Sadly not. I did put it on ebay, but general timewasters and emails about please don't scrap it. V8 for this one I think old boy!

lol @ pics. it was a long weekend. we achieved something that usually takes a week or so in just two days .. Jim, Jason , Jamie, Arshad all legendary blokes..

we had good and bad times during this, but in two days we went from a complete car to a 95% bare shell . hardly anything was broken.. apart from that exhaust system that was welded together Haha..

we didn't keep the engine. waste of time really.. it weighs soooo much compared to any other engine I've ever seen. I can't believe people actually stick them in e21s ?!

lifting an e3 shell (by the three of us ) was so difficult .. defo not doing it that way again.

Decent pictures! You can see we had to do some ghetto improvisation with bricks supporting the engine in the first photo.

It was fun and inbetween all this I managed to take the m52 out of mine swap flywheels and put it back in :-). Went and checked the floor after I had been out for dinner, it's like a sodding ice rink off to get some de greaser and one of those patio cleaning attachments for the jet wash after work tomorrow grrrrrr. That engine went to the right place what a heavy pile of turd it was I'm unconvinced one of those in the front of an e21 could be preformance enhancing. Did you get all the bits to your lock up unscathed ? All in all a productive weekend. I reckon having Nas , Jason, jim and myself helping probably saved you half a days work had you done it on your own lol

My role consisted of cutting out the rear screen, removing the headrests, pulling the front bumper a bit and getting petrol in my eye whilst helping Jamie get the tank out (he got a splash too). There's a hell of a lot more work gone on to strip that car. Good work fellas!

Haha we didn't have anything to stop the engine tilting and we found some old bricks in a nearby car park :)

sorry about your floor jamie lol. reck picked up the oil drain pan and spilt oil all over himself. I nearly wet myself laughing lol.

I reckon a proper degreaser spray and a quick blast will sort it.

you live and learn :o the units now spotless as is the outside there was a few coments from neighbours this morn re the slippy floor. The ML got painted without hitch so Grease Monkey got paid! had a look at that dash today Arshad its old school and cannot be plastic welded so would need a load of messing about with Fibre glass and filler :hammer. Just paid the parking ticket on line they even show you the evidence the feckers.
