Finally picked up my E30 about a week ago. Just waiting on UK registration so that I can use it. Has quite a list of modifications inc DTM carbon air box. It sounds epic!

Think so...............

he was happy getting it for c £7k with electrical issues- not sure how eligible it is given it has the non vanos 3 litre M3 E36 engine and gearbox

he is a paint and detailing expert and I see it being sorted with a new paint job and maybe ME E30 flares soon!

Some pictures of my E30's
-The very first, the 325iX Baur my father bought summer 2003.
Image
Since 2009 in "restoration" (sort of)
Image

-The second 325iX Baur (no, not my second E30 :sealed ), drove it from early 2011 till end 2012. Head gasket blown, waiting for an other engine. Stripped of the options, these are going into the white.

Image

-This was the daily driver, now turning into a plaything. A '85 318i, which drove daily from september 2012 till march 2014. In totall 50.000km's. Then parked it, now upgrading the brakes (disc all round), hoping to build in a M30 some time. But for now...well, just look at the last picture.

And then there are some parts/restoration in the very far future cars:
From left to right:
-316i M10: bought this early 2012 from the first owner, sold it after a month to a friend and bought it back this year, only for the engine (going into the 318i)
-'83 320i Baur: Bought this some years ago. Might use it as a welding-practice car...but doubt if I still need it as practice car, see picture above :whistle
-316 4-door, registered 9-8-1982. Almost through parting.
Image
'87 316, used as a shed...till someone needed a part of the C-pillar.
Image

And this is my playground:
Image
The left is the ex320iA (now 323i manual), the Touring on the right ex316i (now 318iS).
