Really nice looking car mate! I think 15'' Alpinas are about as good as it gets with regards to wheels.
Personally, and this isn't a critisism, but I would lose the side skirts and rear apron, replace the front spoiler with an Alpina one, get the chrome grill back on and go for clear or standard indicator lenses. Obviously, its all about personal tastes isn't it?
What Weber have you got? I ran a 28/36 on my 2002 and also slotted on the head from an e30 318i as the valves are bigger. I also got the Dremel out and matched the inlet and exhaust mainifold ports. Add a lightened/balanced flywheel and you'll be amazed in the performance hike you'll bet for mimimal effort! and it'll cost you next to nothing aswell! If you do get your flywheel lightened/balanced, make sure you get it done by someone who knows what they are doing and don't take off to much! A flywheel shattering at 7000rpm will make a mess of your engine bay and transmission tunnel not to mention your legs and feet!!
I'm certainly up for the Ultimate BMW show and could tag along as you pass Bristol?
