Hi,
What coils do I need in the front for a M30 conversion.
- Length ?
- Preload ?
Is it neccesery to use these smaller negative demping spring
(the smaller ones). The GAZ coil-overs shown in this topic don have them !!
Anybody a good adres for coils.

higher spring rates and different valved dampers is about it. You should speak to gaz. Normally if you want a specific ride height they will ask for the compressed height of the spring.
The small springs you sometimes see are keeper springs, they help the spring captive when the shock is at its full extension. They only need them if the free length of the spring is small enough that it rattles around, so it totally depends on the spring/shock combination.

bumping this back up. Ill be in europe for 2 1/2 months which includes about 2 weeks in the UK, so im thinking now might be a good time to buy a set of these and bring them back with me.
These guys are selling them for 845 pounds which works out to be about $1600 AUD at the current rate. Seems like the price has come down a bit.

anyone had any dealings with the company?
edit: and ive just seen this thread.

Seems like a go then.
Anyone in the UK got a pair of strut tubes?

FYI Metrix Motorsport does excellent coilover work as a matter of fact they do a lot of the work for some of the major vendors. Previously just a sub contractor they have been busy expanding and aare in the process of updating their website so it might be a little while.
They also rebuild and ramp differentials, build hybrid race engines etc.
You can contact Rob at Metrix directly, (818) 296-7528. tell them Pete from Hawaii sent ya!

I've gone and fitted the gaz coilovers. they are pretty awesome. I can't believe how well the e21 handles now.
maybe they are a bit pricey compared to diy.coillies but i think they are well worth the money
