Here's an amusing but rather apt post on Pistonheads about the continued trend of stretching tyres.
Common amongst V-dubbers and other diluded chav/bottom feeders
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topi ... 3&nmt=Tyre Stretching!!! PH strikes again.

It's a beautifully-executed car, the photography is fantastic and really sets it off...
But other than that, it's a little ordinary. There are peeps on this forum who have cars that are just as worthy if not better.
But kudos to the builder, it's still a nicccce car.

For me personally that's one of the best looking e21's on the forum/that I've seen.
Though there are a couple of other really nice examples - Rasb1's car for example or the black US e21 with BBS RS wheels (not on this forum though)
It's the simplicity and vision behind it. You can put bells and whistles all day long as much as you want, but as they say sometimes less is more.
For me this car has it all in spades, the flawless bodywork / paintjob, the wheels, the ride height, the colour. The dude has perfectly executed his vision for all of these things, mucho respect Neek.

100% agree... its the perfect execution of the oem+ look i have seen so far on an e21.... hence why its performace bmws car of the year!... mind you some of the uk guys are building a few monsters... but can they create the perfect look....???
(drivers door strip sits a smidge off line)
Neek you have pulled off a very very hot e21 there dude..

I'd like to see it outside in overcast or neutral light, without the Photographic filters to see if it still holds up...

And if that's 'oem look', then I must be doing 'oem+ look' (if people really feel they must pigeonhole cars).
A nice target to aim for...

Variety is the spice of life and it'd be boring if we all liked exactly the same things.
Personally, I like the little touches like the sun visors and door cards. The colour looks great too. Best of all I like the way it shows you don't need mega engines, expensive alloys etc, to have a very cool looking e21.

This is my all time favourite E21. I don't care if I offend anyone here- it poos all over ours. And an SR-71 in the same photo shoot, fantastic! Wonder if we can have a word with the managemnet at Duxford for the Spring Classic?
Without getting into an argument about pigeon-holing and categories, to my mind that's too low and the wheels are too lairy for it to fall under oem+ banner. I thought oem+ was more "it could have left the factory like that". Exceptionally clean and simple, some factory options, maybe some discreet deletions (badges, chrome)?

Agreed, the camera can lie.
I bought this last year-
after a wee bit of polish, got out a "proper" camera, chose a better angle and-
