Almost done. My top had been in a box for some time and as a result, the window plastic had some curls in it.
I got rid of them by using the misses hair drier, on a cool setting and constantly checking the plastic wasnt over heating by touching it, then placed the heaviest and biggest books I could find evenly over the affected area. then left it to cool and repeated as necissary. This worked great. there were still some small wrinkles but I decided not to risk over heating the window and let the sun do the rest when it was stretched on the car.

Im certain I took better pics of it than this but damned if I can find them. Above you can see one of the books in use and the next step before installing which is the double sided seal between the sides and the body. Again, couldn't or didn't find the original gear but a sutable alternative is licence plate adhesive. same thickness same water proofing same double sided stickyness lots cheaper. :shake

with the top done and the glue curing, I fitted the bottom seal to the car. The new seal didnt come with predrilled holes so its fit the seal to the car and cut some holes where you feel the dents of the screw holes. The ends of the new seal are shaped to follow the tops bottom edge but you have to make the holes then line it up in that position. I found this out after fitting it and noticing gaps at the corners. quickly lifting the top and repositioning the gasket sorted that out and the fit was perfect.

Right ! Thats it done. :popcorn
these were taken imediately after the fit. There is some wrinkling in these photos HOWEVER once the top settled and the sun had a chance to stretch it a bit, these are gone. I have to take a new pick to show this and Ill post that asap :)
